Effect of Organic Manures and Inorganic Fertilizers on Growth, Yield and Quality of Onion (Allium cepa) var. Nashik Red

An experiment was conducted to find out the effect of organic manures and inorganic fertilizers on growth, yield quality onion (Allium cepa L.) var. Nashik Red during 2021-2022 in Rabi season (Nov-Apr) at Horticulture Research Farm, Department Horticulture, Sam Higginbottom University Agriculture, Technology Sciences, Allahabad (Uttar Pradesh). Total 13 treatments were replicated thrice Randomized Block Design (RBD). The results showed that treatment T4 (75% NPK + 25% Poultry manure) recorded maximum growth parameters i.e., plant height (62.29 cm), number leaves (10.38), TSS (14.58 0Brix) ascorbic content (12.49).whereas, T8 (50% 50% with weight fresh bulb (181.70 g), cured (168.07 diameter (8.63 per plot (23.09 kg) hectare (15.36 t).
